Family Owned
We (John and Donna) began what would morph into Hanneman Forest Products in 1995. The business has evolved over time into a viable option for us and our two sons. John-Scott and Evan each contribute to this business guided at the helm by John and anchored by Donna in the books! The business and family are intertwined just like a family farm. “We are a farm family without a farm! It’s how we decided to raise our boys; it’s who we are.”
Recycled Landscaping Products
We have been “Green” for many years before the term was coined. We have been recycling woody debris since 1995. This keeps hundreds of thousands tons of green waste per year from Richmond area landfills.
Community Focused
We proudly serve the greater Richmond area and consider this our community in all ways. We try to shop in our community for grinder and truck parts, truck services and oils and fuel. We have donated time and products to Donna’s former school, John M. Gandy Elementary in Ashland, VA. We have sponsored Softball teams (Firebirds Fast Pitch 14 and Under) and St. Baldrick’s Foundation among others. “If you support your community, they will support you!”

With three locations and facilities we offer wholesale and retail priced mulch for professional landscapers and the general public alike. We also have compost (when available) and topsoil in stock.
